Shannon Lynch Altamura was born and raised in central Texas. Ms. Altamura obtained her Bachelor’s degree in English literature, cum laude, from Trinity University in San Antonio. While pursuing her undergraduate studies, Ms. Altamura distinguished herself as a strong national competitor on Trinity’s cross-examination debate team, earning top speaker awards at many American Debate Association tournaments throughout the country, including ranking third in the nation her freshman year at the Boston College championship. Ms. Altamura earned her juris doctorate from the George Mason University School of Law, where she was a Smolen Plevy academic scholarship recipient, an advancing round intramural moot court competitor, and a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. She was also a summer extern at the highly distinguished firm of Albo & Oblon, L.L.P. in Arlington, Virginia.
As an advocate, Ms. Altamura applies the advanced research and argumentation skills she acquired through debate to her zealous representation of clients in and out of the courtroom.
Shannon Altamura joined the firm in September 2010, and focuses her practice on general civil litigation and personal injury, including nursing home neglect matters. Ms. Altamura is licensed to practice in all state courts of North Carolina, and federally in the Middle District of North Carolina.
